Gillingham, December 1st: Fuji Copian (UK) Ltd is pleased to announce the launch of a new quality Wax Thermal Transfer Ribbon for flat head printers into the European markets.

Scratch resistance is the Achilles Heel of most wax ribbons. Based on this plain fact, our R&D team has developed FW2, a totally innovative and original product, challenging the traditional product categories of the thermal transfer industry.

FW2, whose foundations lay on our exceptionally high quality wax, also features a revolutionary new kind of resin formulation, which preserves its characteristics as a wax and enhance mechanical resistance to a level never reached before.

The out-come of this technical performance is a product coming at a wax price, but with scratch resistance that would be the envy of many wax-resin competitors. FW2 is already introduced on the Japanese and Asiatic markets, and Mr.Keisuke Yamaki, Senior Executive Officer of the Sales Department, comments: "our new formulation has been successfully promoted to our customers, to the point that it has now taken the lead in terms of sales, well ahead of our other wax products".

FW2 works on a great variety of paper-based substrates such as Vellum, plain papers, coated and synthetic papers, and many others. Combined with its print sensitivity, it is ideal for general purpose labels, labels with barcode, texts and graphics, tags, use in the retail and logistics fields. It is also suitable to print any information related to product traceability.

This new formulation, which is coated in Asia, will be slit locally in the UK and is offered in a wide range of ribbons of different widths and lengths, outside and inside wound, meant to suit virtually all printers, whatever their brand or model.
